The clientele were mainly members of the ethnic

Within 5 years of opening , in 1969, the demand for the recognized good quality dishes served by the cafe was so great that expansion was necessary.The only expansion at that time was into the basement of the property, thus the first stage of a building Programme was started which was to continue with further expansion projects over the next 4 years.
It soon became apparent that because of the popularity of the restaurant that a radical new
approach would have to be made.
In 1983 the next expansion of the restaurant was initiated by the acquisition of the adjacent premises.
The new extension and an extensive update of the premises and the kitchens was undertaken.
